Excellent Plzen – marketing fairtrade coffee, Gumutindo cooperative, Uganda

In order to market GEPA fairtrade coffee in the Czech Republic in a more authentic way, in Feburary 2009 I organized a partner visit to Gumutindo cooperative. I was accompanied by the Dutch expert Floris Kneefel and Czech student Andrea Busova.

We participated in the Gumutindo general assembly, had meetings with the management and visited about 20 farmers in 6 sub cooperatives in 3 different areas. We used the stories for the Czech media, individual and corporate fairtrade customers.
